From Consulting AI to Collaborating With It

From Consulting AI to Collaborating With It

Two recent AI releases pointed to the same shift.

    Parallelism.

Anthropic introduced native multi-agent teams and massive context windows. OpenAI pushed agentic execution that carries work through end-to-end.

The quiet change isn't "better answers."

    It's surface area.

One person can now think, explore, and execute in multiple directions at once.

Not faster answers. More simultaneous exploration.

    The Real Transition

AI is moving from a tool you consult to a system you collaborate with.

From helping occasionally to being present in the work itself.

    That sounds subtle. It's not.

    Why Founders Should Care

    Iteration speed compounds.

If you can generate hypotheses faster, prototype faster, validate faster, you don't just move quicker. You learn faster.

And learning velocity is what wins.

    Why Marketers Should Care

The gap between "using AI" and "working alongside AI" is about to become obvious.

    There's a difference between:

    • "Write me 5 headlines."
    • "Explore 12 audience angles in parallel, synthesize patterns, and spin up experiments."

The second is leverage. The first is convenience.

Tools like Nano Banana show what this looks like in practice: creative that ships in the same loop as copy.

This isn't about replacing people. It's about amplifying the people who learn how to harness these systems.

The risk isn't AI. It's being outpaced by teams who adapt first.

    Where the Leverage May Live

    Models are being commoditized.

Orchestration, memory, tool use, coordination. That's where leverage might concentrate.

If agents become the abstraction layer above models: who captures the value? And does that layer commoditize too?

The next few years are going to answer that.
