Count down to the real dispatch cutoff, in the visitor's clock
PromisingFor Ecommerce
Build this play with TailorWhen to use it
When product or cart pages in the top ten by visitors state a dispatch cutoff in fixed copy in the merchant's timezone, or not at all.
How to run it
- 1Add a slim bar on product and cart pages counting down to the real dispatch cutoff in the visitor's timezone, naming the delivery day it buys.
- 2Run the seasonal version, 'Order by Dec 19 for Christmas delivery', while the deadline is the whole purchase decision.
Why it works
Give a reason to act now
A delivery deadline is about when the shopper gets their item, so it draws none of the promo-countdown skepticism. Aggregated timer data (vendor-adjacent) has cutoff timers outperforming sale-end timers on clicks.
